When we get off the metro (subway) we walk through this tunnel, with graffiti and other "STUFF". WARNING! Never touch the walls, steps or floor in the tunnel. I have never seen a public restroom in Armenia. So in the summer (all of the time) it gets a little smelly. Nice artwork though.
Elder Jones and I have been substitute teaching the Doctrine & Covenenats/Church History Institute class for the past couple of months. This is some of our class members. The Sister Missionaries came with an investigator to our last class.
We had quite a variety of students, several Persians that are going to University here in Armenian that are from Iran, Russian/Armenian college student, returned missionaries and new members. It was challenging to teach to a group with such varying knowledge of the church. But we really enjoyed it and came to love these kids.
Last night was a birthday party for Erik, who turned 25 years old. A party at his house mean LOTS & LOTS of wonderful food. His mother and aunt cooked up a storm.
He invited the Senior Missionaries. Elder and Sister Watkins, us,
and the Rich's and we ate and ate and ate...
Eli was so happy you would have thought it was his birthday party.
This is Tamara & Ellen, Erik's sisters.
AND TODAY....it was these two Elder's Birthday celebration which meant that,
Elder Jones and I got to eat chocolate cake from America and ice cream. Thanks Elder L.'s MOM for sending a cake mix.
