Just So I'll Remember...

Sometimes people put their garbage in the dumpster and sometimes lots of the time, they don't. Often times it is on fire as well.
These are faces of the Elders (reinactment) when they saw my shorthand notes. First of all they didn't even know what shorthand was. They said, "It looks so hard."  YET THEY CAN SPEAK ARMENIAN.
It looked like this.
They said it looks like Persian. What do you think?
I have used some of the shorthand symbols for the past 40+ years.  Thank you to my High School teachers, Pauline and Mrs. Sanders.

This is the stuffing from most people's mattresses.  It is wool.  Occassionally the women take it out and beat it.  I assume to clean it and fluff it up.
My neighbor next door, beat on it right outside our doorways.  Most interesting don't you think?

Random September Moments...

GROCERIES
I used to whine about unloading groceries and putting them away at home.
I now climb 66 steps up to my fourth floor apartment.  My face says it all, but i never whine, really, I don't. (I can't believe I'm posting this picture)

Then I  rinse almost all groceries off with filtered water, then soak with bleach and water, all the vegetables and eggs.  First I try to rinse all the chicken poop off the eggs, then soak. Oh yes Elder J. and I take turns doing this. My face looks like this when it is Elder J's turn!
This small peanut butter and small shampoo cost $14.61
These four potatoes and one pepper cost 77 cents.
SAFETY
This guy was stuccoing the outside of this apartment.
Sometimes he had this nice thick rope tied around his waist attached to????
He and his son constructed the scaffolding.  Sometimes I couldn't watch because I just knew they were going to fall. (We watch these activities as we eat at our kitchen table.)
This guy in his nice dress pants and black shirt was in the bucket with help from above :), installing an airconditioning unit.
These guys were five stories below just sitting, near the bucket truck.  What would OSHA say about that?
PLAIN FUN
These fun guys dropped in last week. We had a blast!
Someone wasn't watching Benjamin?!?  He re-did the returned missionary board.
Ta da!!
Elder Jones was at his desk researching different ways to make paper airplanes.  We didn't get a picture of his awesome helicopter.  But it definitely got the most oohs and awes.
 DINNER
This was actually in August. We had a wonderful dinner at Susanna's home.  The food was yummy and beautifully presented.
Susanna is a dear friend that I have worked with in the District Primary.  This is her son Roland.
WRAP UP
That about wraps it up for now. We are missing our family at home like crazy. In just a few more months we will be home to hug and squeeze two new grandbabies.
We have seen little Rennlie on Skype for eight months now. AND today we saw yet to be born Taytum via Ultra Sound at www.babysfirstimage.com
Life is good and we are blessed beyond measure.
